What you need to know about "Having money stolen"

We hope what you see here helps.  If you are feeling like running away or are away from home, we are here to listen.

If anyone steals money from you, they are committing a crime. It is never ok for someone to take money from you without you wanting to give it to them and saying it’s ok, even if they are a friend or a family member.

If you are having money stolen from you, then you can tell the Police, or if it is a bully at school taking your money then you could try talking to a teacher about it first to see if they can stop it.

If someone is taking money that should be being paid to you for something you are doing, like working, then they may be exploiting you. If you are being exploited then you can report this to the Police, or go to Social Services if you are under 18 and you feel like the way you are being treated is not right. If you want to talk about what is happening before you report it to anyone, then you can call a helpline who can help you talk through it and they will be able to give you advice on how to deal with what is going on and put you in touch with people who can help you.

We hope what you see here helps. If you are feeling like running away or are away from home, we are here to listen.
