When a child or young person runs away or goes missing, it is often a sign that something isn’t as it should be, or that they need some help and support. In line with the National Missing Persons Framework for Scotland, this resource has been developed to improve awareness among children and young people about what may happen if they run away or go missing, and increase their understanding of options, services and organisations that they can turn to for support if they need to.

  • The resource has been designed to be versatile and adaptable, and can be used in different ways depending on the needs of children and young people you are working with.
  • The activities can be led by a variety of professionals and can be completed in a classroom, with youth groups or in smaller, more intensive support settings.
  • The activities can also be used across a range of ages and academic levels.

If you have any questions about the resource, please get in touch using the contact form at the bottom of our ‘Contact Us’ page.
