The answer to this question depends heavily on your situation. If you feel that you are in immediate danger then we would advise that you contact the emergency services straight away and make them aware of the situation.

If not, and you are thinking of running away for other reasons, it might be best to try and find a solution to what is happening that doesn’t involve leaving your home, as this can be a dangerous.

On most (but not all) occasions, running away will not solve the issues you are facing and they may still be there if you go back. Being able to address the problems instead of by running away and putting yourself in possible danger is a more long term solution. If you are not sure and are questioning whether running away is the right thing to do, then it’s probably not what’s best at this time.
