There are many reasons people can feel very down on themselves. These can include body issues, feeling that they have no close friends, or there might be issues surrounding mental wellbeing. Trying to explain these problems can be tough beyond belief. It takes a lot of willpower and strength to talk about how much you dislike your own self.
Like a jigsaw, it can be easiest to start with one piece of you and be content with that, rather than thinking about the finished picture. There will be times when you can’t get a piece to fit and that can be very frustrating, but you’re trying and that in itself is a very good start. When you feel ready, we can try and help you. You can always text or email us if you don’t feel like talking and we can be there for you while we look at the option of you speaking with someone who can give you more support.
Don’t forget, we don’t judge and we don’t comment. We are simply there to do our best to make sure you have contact with people who can help.
The Runaway Helpline can only provide services to children and young people within the United Kingdom, and information and advice on this site relates to the UK only.
