Food banks

Food banks are places that are for people who can’t afford food as a short-term fix until they can then be put in touch with other help to get them more security. Food banks get food donated to them, which they can then give to you if you are in need.

If you need to find your closest food bank, you can search online and will be able to find which food bank is available for you. At the food bank, they will be able to give you long-life food (like food in cans that doesn’t go out of date very fast) which should last your family around three days. At the food bank, there are people there who can talk to your family and help them to find other ways they can get help.
