A good place to start here would be to think about the reasons behind it not working out and then to look at safe and do-able alternatives. In truth, unless you’re in immediate danger, running away again should be among the last options you choose and the fact you’re looking for ways to get help is a positive thing.

If it’s arguments at home, a feeling that you don’t fit in, that no one understands you or a feeling of fear, then seeking help first could be a first good step, so long as you feel safe enough to stay where you are at the moment whilst you look at your next move.

A good example of help in this case would be Runaway Helpline’s Aftercare services which aim to support people who have returned home and feel things are not right. There are options out there for you to try so you don’t need to feel that running away is the only way.
